Modeled a low-poly apple (250 polys) and played around with textures. This is the high-poly version though (7,728 polys).

it kinda awesome but the apple is low poly as you said, no details, not very good
u may want to use misfit 3d modeler to make nice curves and stuff

Great one but you could make it a bit more better like,
use this as a reference:

You see, there's a concave on the top part of the apple

You must smoke crack. 3DS Max is much, MUCH better than Misfit 3D.

I'll add that in in a moment.

The model I posted is the high-poly version. Learn to read.

Whipped up a textured book in a few minutes. Really easy, but looks good. Although, I don't like the texture on the book pages, but I couldn't find anything better.

22 polys.

Edited the apple. This is the low poly version. It's now 310 polys since I had to add in more edges to create the concave.

You can see that the edges are less curved and sharper now, but since it's an insignificant game model, it's supposed to be as low-poly as possible.

You can only have something like 250,000 polygons per scene, and most of those are used up by the environment, characters and weaponry. Props and other things such as apples are very low poly.

Yeah it has an old, badly treated, damaged look.

I can always just go back and add a Turbosmooth to make it highpoly again, but I didn't see the point.

Added (2011-10-18, 7:26 PM)
---------------------------------------------
Chessboard
35k polys
Fully textured
Daylight sun/sky system
Rendered with Mental Ray

Note: No knight. This is because I made this in class, and we didn't get around to modeling the knight, for whatever reason. I may finish it in my own time though. Also, some of the pieces probably aren't in the correct position. Not really a chess player and I just quickly arranged the pieces so I could start adding textures and what-not. I'll rearrange them at a later date.
