hey guys this is a tutorial on how to animate sprites in flash,
1st, rip the sprites from mugen (i'm not going to teach that) and save all the movements in one gif(or many ones) then import that gif into flash

, then you'll find every sprite as a bmp file called bitmap 1, bitmap 2.....

and then put any of them on your keyframe, then use the swap button on every keyframe to change them, and test ur movie by pressing Ctrl+Enter

plz comment

The fact that you have to rip the sprites yourself makes it take a long-ass time.

It's easier to import a sprite sheet into Fireworks, make the background transparent and then copy paste the movements into Flash as you use them, then animate them.

Another method is to download a folder that contains all of the single sprites of a character (Ryu, etc.) and then import all of the individual sprites into Flash. This is usually only used when the character you want to use isn't sheeted.

It's similar to your method, minus the ripping part.

Never you said you had to use it.

Just pointing out the flaws with your method and advising the rookies not to use it.

Although you're probably a rookie yourself.
